This step-by-step first time buyer’s guide created by our team will help reduce the stress of buying a home and help you enjoy the journey as much as possible.
Step 1
We will meet for an initial consultation regarding buying your next home. During the consultation, we will walk through your timeline, your goals for the home you want to purchase, how we can help reach those goals and go through what that process will look like.
Step 2
To begin the process, you will want to consult with a mortgage lender to get pre-approved for a loan. This will give you a clear understanding of how much you can borrow and help you narrow down your search to homes within your budget. Being pre-approved is also something sellers are looking for when reviewing offers so this will put you one step ahead.
Step 3
We will set up a search based on your criteria that will send you emails as soon as homes in your criteria come on the market. We also have access to exclusive listings within our company that allows us to send you properties before they come on the market.
Step 4
Once you see a house that you would like to view in person, we will coordinate showings and send any additional information available to us. We will also put together a pricing analysis to demonstrate how the home is priced compared to other properties in the area.
Step 5
When you have found a home that you would like to move forward with, we will help you prepare an offer and negotiate with the seller’s agent on your behalf. As experts in negotiating, we will help navigate this process and guide you through the offer process and the items that will help set your offer apart.
Step 6
Once your offer is accepted, we will help navigate the under contract process. This process includes a home inspection, an appraisal if your loan requires it and extra due diligence to help you determine if this is the home you would like to purchase. Our goal is to provide you with as much information as possible so that you feel like you are making the best decision for you.
Step 7
Once we work through all contingencies and financing is in place, we will work with the title company, lender and the other agent to schedule and coordinate all of the closing documents and schedule the final closing. We did it!
Step 8
We are here for you long after the closing of your home. We will continue to check-in with you to see how everything is going and also be available for any questions or recommendations that you may need. This is our favorite part of the whole process!
